Rabat – A third case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been confirmed in Morocco with an infected French tourist who arrived Saturday in Marrakech, the ministry of health has announced.

A third COVID-19 case has been confirmed with an infected French tourist who arrived Saturday in the city of Marrakech, it said, adding that the man, who had on Sunday respiratory symptoms, went to hospital where the medical staff made him undergo tests at the Pasteur-Maroc Institute which were positive.

The patient receives the appropriate medical treatment at a hospital in Marrakech, the source said, adding that his condition is not worrying.

The services of the Ministry of Health have taken all the necessary measures in such cases, in accordance with national and international health safety standards, the source pointed out.
