La Poste Burkina Faso recorded, in 2023, a positive net result of 1.7 billion FCFA, an increase of 32.25% compared to 2022 despite the security crisis affecting Burkina and its companies, according to the information site Lefaso.net

Questioned by Lefaso.net, the general director of La Poste Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Saba, confided that his company recorded in 2023 ‘A positive net result of one billion seven hundred and twelve million four hundred and forty-five thousand four hundred and forty- nine’ compared to the year 2022.

Still according to Mr. Saba, the turnover of La Poste Burkina, for the same period, increased by 10%, or 31 billion, representing 106% of the annual forecast.

‘While it is true that the security crisis has a certain impact on the company’s performance, we can still say that the main indicators have remained green,’ he added.

However, terrorism has forced the Burkina Post to close several of its agencies.

‘We are working to reopen them as soon as possible. In our forecasts, at least ten
agencies will be open again during the first half because in these localities, we have recorded a return of populations and a pacification of the area,’ reassured the boss of the company on the Lefaso.net website

Created in 1975 under the name of the National Post Office, which has since become Sonapost, La Poste Burkina Faso is a public company mainly responsible for mail distribution in Burkina Faso.
