The government on Thursday suspended the transfer of resources to municipalities for the acquisition of food and the minimum school bag, thus wanting to carry out better management of these resources with a view to dealing with the difficulties observed in the acquisition and delays in the distribution of food for school canteens and the minimum school bag for the benefit of students.

The government ‘adopted a report suspending the transfer of resources to municipalities for the acquisition of food and the minimum school bag,’ indicates the report of the council of ministers this Thursday.

According to the Minister in charge of Education, Jacques Sosthène Dingara, this decision follows the difficulties noted in the acquisition and delays in the distribution of food for school canteens and the minimum school bag for the benefit of students.

Thus, by making this decision, the State wants to make a better allocation of food and the minimum school bag.

‘Sovereignly, the government has assumed its responsibili
ties by deciding to suspend the transfer of financial resources to all municipalities, and to proceed with a direct acquisition,’ added the minister.
