Presidency of Public Prosecutor’s Office Signs Cooperation Agreement with Vietnamese Counterpart

This agreement, which was signed by the public prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, president of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, El Hassan Daki, and prosecutor general of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam, Le Minh Tri, is part of the development of technical programs for the exchange of experiences and best and successful practices between the two institutions, with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of members of the Public Prosecutor’s Offices of both countries.

 

In a statement to the press, Daki said that the signing of this cooperation agreement represents an opportunity to frame the work and judicial cooperation between the two countries, stressing that this partnership is part of the opening of the Moroccan state and justice, represented by the presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, on its international environment as part of the commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco in the fight against crime of all kinds. It is also meant to build cooperation links between different countries in the field of justice in view of the development and cross-border nature of crime, he noted.

 

For his part, prosecutor general of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam expressed his satisfaction to be in Morocco and to sign this agreement which aspires to concretize an effective and practical cooperation between the two judicial institutions.

 

The meeting was an opportunity to present an overview of the evolution of justice in Morocco and to highlight the Moroccan experience distinguished in the independence of justice in general and the Public Prosecutor’s Office in particular under the Constitution of 2011.
