Bobo-Dioulasso: Information and communication professionals benefited from 48 hours of strengthening their knowledge of the Burkinabè cotton sector in the town of Sya.

It was during a training workshop organized by the African Network of Journalists and Communicators in the Cotton Sector (RAJC-FC), in collaboration with the National Union of Cooperative Societies of Cotton Producers of Burkina (UNPCB).

For the Network Coordinator, Gérard Wanley Coulibaly, the aim of this training is to update participants on cotton knowledge, to provide them with the basics necessary to process information related to the cotton sector with more precision and ‘balance.

For his part, the representative of the president of the UNPCB, Yaya Sibiri DAO, indicated that the RAJC-FC initiative is to be welcomed because it will allow professionals to obtain information at the source for fair processing of information. cotton plant.

The environment of the cotton sector in Burkina Faso, and more specifically its operation and organiz
ation, was presented.

The communications also allowed participants to better discover the umbrella of Burkinabè cotton producers.

Created in 2015, the network of journalists and communicators currently has 26 members.

With the motto ‘Our feather, our cotton’, the association has carried out several activities to its credit. She accompanied cotton farmers in the field and carried out several information and communication activities.
