Ioba: the new provincial director of solidarity, humanitarian action installed

The Secretary General of Ioba Province André Lankoandé has officially installed the new Provincial Director of Solidarity, Humanitarian Action, National Reconciliation, Gender and Family Gouman Evariste Somé on Thursday April 27, 2023 in Dano.

The handover ceremony between the incoming and outgoing provincial directors in charge of humanitarian action in Ioba took place in the meeting room of the Dano High Commission. It was in the presence of members of the constituted bodies of the province, collaborators, relatives and friends.

It was the secretary general of the province of Ioba representing the high commissioner who presided over the said ceremony. Gouman Evariste Somé, special education inspector, was made head of the provincial directorate for solidarity, humanitarian action, national reconciliation, gender and the family of Ioba, south-west region in course of the Council of Ministers of April 13, 2023.

Somé was previously provincial director of solidarity for Noumbiel in the southwest. He is originally from Ioba precisely from the village of Orpoune in the commune of Oronkua. He replaces Sié Pascal Poda, special education inspector. He has already served in Diébougou as provincial director in charge of humanitarian action in Bougouriba.

Poda spent 07 months at the head of the provincial direction of Ioba. Sié Pascal Poda thanked the first head of the province with his collaborators for their support during his mission in Ioba. He cited several actions undertaken and in progress in favor of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, but which nevertheless remain less perceptible to the outside eye in view of the immensity of the challenge to be met.

The staff of the provincial management through its representative Boureima Ouédraogo, reiterated its thanks to the outgoing director for the moments of good collaboration and his managerial quality. He also undertakes to support the new director for the success of his mission in Ioba.

The director entered acknowledged that alone it would be difficult to achieve the objectives of his mission. This is why Mr. Somé calls for the solidarity of all actors. For him, no advice would be too much, as long as it leads to the achievement of the expected results.

He wants these employees to work with anticipation and vigilance. “There will be no observation round because the issues, the actors and the partners are known. What remains is more commitment and sacrifice,” he stressed.

As for the secretary general of the province of Ioba, he praised the quality of the relations with the director released for the management of certain social situations. André Lankoandé welcomed the new director. He reassured him of the will of the High Commissioner and of all the collaborators to support all the initiatives.

According to Mr. Lankoandé, Gouman Evariste Somé will benefit from the support of all to consolidate the achievements and continue with the new challenges to come.
