Bobo-Dioulasso: The President of the Legislative Assembly of the Transition (ALT) Dr. Ousmane Bougma was seduced Wednesday evening by the cultural expression of the Burkinabè and African communities, during his visit to the dedicated site to them for the National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2024, noted the AIB on site.

‘What I remember about these sites is the cultural expression. Whether at the level of the army museum, whether at the level of the village of the communities, it is the cultural identity that is expressed. The cultural DNA of Burkina Faso. And this cultural DNA reminds us that our parents, our predecessors fought for this country to stand up,’ declared the President of the ALT Ousmane Bougma, at the end of his visit.

The President of the national representation who visited the 31 Burkinabè communities and the 14 African communities present at this 21st SNC mentioned that ‘this reflects social cohesion and as the Head of State said in his speech, ‘culture is the soul of a people’. We see all the
cultural diversity which is expressed and which reflects this richness.’

‘We saw the Burkinabè communities side by side: Mossis next to Samos, Gourmantchés next to Yadcés, joking relatives, etc. », added Ousmane Bougma.

The President of the ALT also took a tour of the army museum and was able to see the evolution in terms of instruments of war and struggle. ‘From the bladed weapon to the drone, but also the evolution of our armed force since their participation in the different world wars but also in the different combats, whether in Algeria, Indochina, but also of evolution at the level of the military hierarchy, ‘ he explained.

‘We have also seen the efforts of visual artists who, through very expressive paintings, summarize the effort at the level of the army,’ he mentioned, adding that ‘this gives us hope in relation to the reconquest of our territory currently.

Very touched by what he was able to see, President Bougma wanted to congratulate and thank the Minister in charge of culture, arts and touris
m Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo for ‘having thought of bringing together these communities in a village. This contributes to our living together.’

The President of the ALT had at his side Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and his Nigerien counterpart in charge of culture Abdourahamane Amadou whose country is the guest of honor of the SNC which is being held in the Burkinabè economic capital from April 27 to 4 May.
