Tunisia’s Basketball team to face Senegal’s in friendly after Paris Olympics

Tunis: The Tunisian Basketball Federation said the national team will face Senegal’s in a friendly game in Dakar. A date will be set following the Olympic Games in Paris (July 26-August 11).

Tunisia is set to host an annual tournament in July for the U16 African teams (girls and boys) of Africa zone 1 (hosts Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Libya). This in addition to a tournement for Africa zone 1 women’s senior teams which involves two teams from each country, the champions and the Cup winner. This will pave the way for an African women’s club championship.

Angola will organise the Afrobasket 2025 and the second window of Afrobasket qualifiers in February 2025, the FIBA Africa Committee decided as it met in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The meeting, the Tunisian Basketball Federation said, was attended with attendance of President Ali Benzarti as a member of FIBA Competition Committee and Sofiene Gharbi as a member of the FIB Legal Affairs and Appeal Committee.

Rwanda will play host to the AfroCAN. 2027, it was
also announced.
