Ouagadougou: The Combatant Forces killed more than a hundred terrorists in the Gayérie area, before seizing important war logistics, the AIB learned Tuesday from security sources.

The intelligence services learned on Monday March 25, 2024 of the massive arrival of a horde of terrorists north of Gayérie, in the locality of Kiani.

Elements of the 20th Rapid Intervention Battalion decided to go towards them to prevent them from carrying out their attack.

Early in the morning of March 26, 2024, they advance calmly under the supervision of air vectors.

A calm before the storm reigned in the farming hamlets located before the contact zone. Indeed, as soon as they approach, the soldiers are greeted by heavy fire from criminals hiding in the buildings.

The Fighting Forces remain focused and respond promptly. After several maneuvers, terrorists are flushed out and effectively neutralized.

Survivors tried to flee at full speed on foot, but they were unable to escape the air vectors.

re than a hundred terrorists killed during the fighting, more than sixty motorcycles recovered and others burned, around fifty AK 47 assault rifles, around ten PKMS machine guns, RPG7 rocket launchers, thousands of ammunition, as well as around sixty tons of recovered food.

Besides the Eastern Region, the Fighting Forces also achieved other victories on other fronts. In the North Center, they led a victorious assault on a terrorist base north of Kelbo.

Several terrorists were neutralized and equipment was recovered.

Rather north of Nassoumbou, air carriers carried out conclusive strikes on an armored vehicle and weapons carefully camouflaged under trees.

According to our sources, operations continue on all fronts for the reconquest of territorial integrity and the return of peace.
