The PCR test was mandatory for entry into the national territory, said Baitas at a press briefing after the weekly Cabinet meeting, noting that the easing comes after the reopening of land and sea borders.

The cancellation of the condition of PCR test for access to the national territory is following the updating of the health protocol applied in this context, he explained.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection had indicated on Wednesday that the sanitary measures for the various points of entry into Morocco now require the presentation of a valid vaccine passport against SARS-Cov-2, in accordance with the national protocol of vaccination, or the result of a negative PCR test not exceeding 72 hours.

This decision was taken in the context of updating the national health protocol for international travel, and in view of the stabilization of the epidemiological situation of Covid-19 at the national and international level, the Ministry stressed.

The Ministry also recalled that a valid vaccine passport means the administration of three doses or, failing that, two doses whose administration time of the 2nd does not exceed four months, except for the vaccine Johnson & Johnson, where a single dose is equivalent to 2 doses of other vaccines.
