Burkina/Ziro: Emmanuel Ouattara takes the reins of command of the Ziro police

_: The main police commissioner Emmanuel Ouattara was officially installed in his functions Tuesday at the town hall of Sapouy by the secretary general of the province Adam’s Davou, noted an AIB journalist.

The provincial leadership of the Ziro national police is now under the orders of the chief police commissioner, Emmanuel Ouattara. Appointed by the Council of Ministers on February 28, 2024, Chief Police Commissioner Emmanuel Ouattara officially took office this Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

He replaces police commissioner André K. Ouédraogo in this position who has been acting for 3 months and 15 days. The handover ceremony, which attracted a good number of people to the town hall of Sapouy, was attended by the regional director of the Central West police, heads of NGOs and associations, friends and colleagues of the two commissioners.

The staff representative of the Ziro provincial police directorate, Lieutenant Loué Gnowoni, praised the dynamism and sense of professionalism of Commissioner André Ouédraogo
who fully played his part to reduce the feeling of insecurity among the population.

He renewed their commitment, discipline and professionalism to support provincial director Emmanuel Ouattara in his mission.

The outgoing provincial director André K. Ouédraogo, for his part, expressed his gratitude to his hierarchy for having appointed him central commissioner of the Sapouy police and then provincial director of the national police. He invited his former collaborators to accompany his successor in his mission.

After congratulating his predecessor for the enormous sacrifice made at the head of the security institution, the new provincial director Emmanuel Ouattara promised to create a working climate conducive to collaboration and a job well done. To do this, he requested the support of administrative authorities, other defense and security forces and the population.

Note that before his appointment, Chief Commissioner Emmanuel Ouattara was central police commissioner in Koudougou.
