The Burkinabe government dismissed three teacher-researchers yesterday Thursday, including two from Thomas Sankara University and one from Norbert Zongo, for having abandoned their position for more than three months. .

The Council of Ministers on Thursday, April 25, 2024 dismissed the assistant in Agricultural and Resource Economics Sciences, Relwendé Appolinaire Nikiéma, Ms. Aminata Boapoundi Toé/Toguyéni, assistant in Public International Law and Moussa Diallo, assistant in philosophy.

The government informs that Relwendé Appolinaire Nikiéma, working at the Dori University Center attached to Thomas Sankara University, has been irregularly absent from his workstation since October 1, 2022.

As for Ms. Aminata Boapoundi Toé/Toguyéni, previously in service at the University Institute of Initial and Continuing Training, and benefiting from a renewal of her availability dated November 22, 2022, did not return to service after expiration of the prescribed deadlines.

His absence was noted on January 18, 2024,

In the case of the philosophy assistant, assigned to the Manga University Center, attached to Norbert Zongo University, has been irregularly absent from his workstation since December 8, 2023.

By the way, the ministry in charge of higher education calls on teacher-researchers who work in Private Institutes of Higher Education (IPES) to strictly comply with the texts in force.

It informs the world of higher education that the technical services inspection will carry out unannounced missions in IPES, in order to verify the application of the provisions in force.

These questions from the department in charge of higher education follow observations of absences of teacher-researchers in public universities in favor of IPES.
