Bogandé: An association supports displaced students with 10 bags of onions worth 150 thousand FCFA

The association of market gardeners of Bogandé handed over on Saturday April 29, 2023, 10 bags of onions worth 150 thousand FCFA, for the benefit of internally displaced students (EDI) in the province of Gnagna, to improve their food intake during their school exams.

It is a total of 10 bags of onions worth 150,000 FCFA that the association of market gardeners of Bogandé offered to the educational authorities, for the benefit of internally displaced students (EDI) of the CM2 class of Gnagna.

By this gesture, the market gardeners intend to contribute to improving the meals that will be served to internally displaced students during the period of the Primary School Certificate (CEP) exam.

According to the president of the association of market gardeners of Bogandé, Martin Ouoba, the donation was possible thanks to the various contributions of its members. “Through this gesture, we want to contribute to improving the quality of the EDI feed during the examination scheduled for the beginning of June,” he specified.

The representative of the provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education of the Gnagna, Salfo Nana welcomed the gesture of solidarity of the association towards the EDI of the province.

On the occasion, the representative of the High Commissioner of Gnagna, Aldjima Lankoandé thanked the donors for their gesture and invited the other associative structures to follow the example.

As a reminder, the security crisis has led to the closure of many schools in several localities in the province of Gnagna. These internally displaced students from the communes of Bilanga, Coalla, Liptougou and Thion continue their studies in major centers such as Piéla, Manni and Bogandé.
