Arab League Council’s 157th Ordinary Session at Level of Delegates Kicks Off

Morocco is represented at this meeting by the Ambassador of the Kingdom to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Tazi.

During this session, the permanent delegates will discuss the draft agenda of the ministerial meeting, which includes 11 items dealing with various issues of joint Arab action on the political, economic, social, security, financial and administrative levels, including the report of the Secretary General between the last two sessions, the preparation of the next Arab summit, the Palestinian issue, the Arab-Israeli conflict and Arab water security.

The draft agenda also includes an update on Arab affairs and national security, the situation in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, and the security of navigation and energy supplies in the Gulf region.

In addition, the Council is expected to adopt a united Arab position regarding the violation by Turkish forces of Iraqi sovereignty and Turkish interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries.
