The craft and commercial fair of the 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC 2023) is in full swing with the presence of several institutions and companies, in particular Editions Sidwaya and the Commission de Computing and Freedom (CIL).

A real showcase for the promotion of the different socio-economic and cultural sectors, the craft and commercial fair of the 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC 2023) has been mobilizing festival-goers since its opening on Sunday April 30, 2023. Several companies and services take part. .

Editions Sidwaya and the Commission for Computing and Freedom (CIL) are present at this major meeting. On the occasion of the opening of this fair, the stand of Editions Sidwaya received the visit of the Ministers in charge of Culture and Commerce of Burkina Faso (Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and Serge Poda) and their Guinean counterpart in charge of Culture.

According to Lassina Boro, the head of the commercial department of the Western regional branch of Editions Sidwaya, the Burkinabe cultural biennial is a real framework for giving visibility to companies, services, etc.

The SNC fair is an opportunity to seize. “We are present at this fair to actually show the know-how of Sidwaya to the Burkinabe population,” he said.

According to Mr. Boro, Sidwaya Editions offers several product lines at the fair. There is digital Sidwaya which gives the possibility of having the digital version of the daily Sidwaya, the monthly Carrefour Africain, Sidwaya Sport.

Les Editions Sidwaya is also Sidwaya mobile, which allows you to have alerts in order to have the first information, he continued. Added to this are the websites of the Burkina Information Agency (AIB) and the daily Sidwaya.

This SNC, he said, is an opportunity to inform the population that Sidwaya now has a printing press in Bobo-Dioulasso. It is this new printing press that publishes the festival newspaper, SNC Kibaru.

For her part, the president of the CIL, Marguerite Bonané, explained that her structure participates in the fair in order to share with festival-goers information on data protection and raise awareness among the populations.

Taking advantage of the occasion, she invited the Burkinabè to take care of their personal data, not to expose their private life or their intimacy through digital platforms…

“You have to know how to protect yourself, not share your personal data with individuals, use digital platforms wisely , ” she advised.
