Ouagadougou: The terrorist executive of the GSIM, Sita Sidibé, arrested on April 13, 2024 with six of his acolytes in the Banwa, was first a butcher before joining the Forces of Evil in 2018 to commit numerous atrocities .

The Burkinabè Armed Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) carried out an operation on April 13, 2024 in the village of Kila, about fifteen kilometers northeast of Tansila in the Banwa province.

According to AIB sources, the assault was a resounding success because around fifteen terrorists were neutralized and equipment seized or destroyed.

The other point of satisfaction is the arrest of seven terrorists including Sita Sidibé.

The criminal, well known to the intelligence services, first worked as a butcher in the town of Balavé before joining terrorism in 2018.

In its early days, it supplied terrorists in the Kossi and Banwa provinces with fuel and communications credits.

Subsequently, he rose to the status of fighter and then executive of the supposed Sup
port Group for Islam and Muslims (GSIM) in the sector between Balavé, Dogo/Balavé and Orowé/Tansila.

Sita Sidibé coordinated several attacks against the Defense and Security Forces and civilian populations in the communes of Solenzo, Balavé and Tansila.

Among his major misdeeds, we note the killing of 18 civilians in Balavé on December 15, 2023 and the attacks on the police station and the town hall of the locality on April 13, 2022.

The sinister criminal also participated in kidnappings of people, cattle thefts and the destruction of mobile phone relay antennas.

Given the importance and influence of Sita Sidibé in the GSIM system, AIB sources claim to have dealt a hard blow to the terrorist group in the Boucle du Mouhoun region.
