After the effective start of the works in October 2022, all the sites are progressing well, according to the observation of a control mission, Thursday March 23, 2023. The rural engineering engineer of the AGEIM IC design office, Pascal Ouédraogo , also head of this mission, indicated that, from one company to another, the rate of physical execution of the work varies between 50 and 70%.

Figures which, according to him, announce the end of the work in about a month. And if this sub-project is completed in accordance with the indicated deadline, the population will be able to welcome the rainy season with more serenity, continued Pascal Ouédraogo. It is, precisely, for the PUDTR, to offer a healthy and secure living environment to the population.

In addition, the sub-project for the construction of gutters in the city of Fada N’Gourma has promoted the creation of a multitude of jobs for young people through the High Intensity of Labor (HIMO) method, indicated Mr. Ouedraogo.

However, it should be noted that the works caused some disruption of road traffic and the facilities of the National Water and Sanitation Office (ONEA). As a result, some areas of the city are facing water cuts.

4- The work will be completed in about a month if there are no major constraints, said the head of the mission, Pascal Ouédraogo.

For these regrettable inconveniences, the head of mission Pascal Ouédraogo called on the population to be indulgent.

As a reminder, the PUDTR was born out of the will of the Burkinabe government with the support of the World Bank to improve the inclusive access of communities (including IDPs) in the targeted areas to infrastructure and essential social services. In short, it is a question of contributing to the resilience of the populations of the areas hard hit by insecurity.
