People held a meeting in Houndé, this Friday, September 29, 2023, to reaffirm their support for the Transition authorities and demand a new Constitution that reflects “our realities”.

People held a meeting in Houndé in support of the Transition led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

According to the spokesperson for the demonstrators, Amadou Waïgalo, this meeting is organized to reaffirm their support for the Transition and ask the authorities to change the current Constitution which, according to him, is “obsolete” so that it can reflect “our realities “This constitution is “disconnected from our realities” and does not take into account the aspirations of the populations, he added.

The spokesperson for the demonstrators also asked to support the authorities against the enemy who is trying to infiltrate to destabilize the transition.

“We must always be on alert to support our authorities so that they can lead us to the right place,” indicated Amadou Waïgalo.

He also welcomed the actions implemented by the MPSR II to restore Burkina; its sovereignty and to fight against youth unemployment.

Mr. Waïgalo thus asked the populations to support popular shareholding.

According to him, this policy provides a solution to the problem of employing young people to combat terrorism.

For this policy to be a success, Amadou Waïgalo urged the populations to register and subscribe to popular shareholding in order to raise the necessary funds for the construction of “our own factories”.
