Muslim, Christian Figures Commend HM the King’s Pioneering Role in Defending Al-Quds Special Character

During the meeting, which was also attended by Hossam Naoum, Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Al-Quds and the Middle East, and Ibrahim Faltas, Chancellor of the Custody in the Holy Land, Patriarch Theophilos III highlighted the wisdom and foresight of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and the ongoing coordination of the Sovereign with his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.

He also stressed the openness of the churches to all initiatives promoting the values of peace and love between the followers of monotheistic religions.

Furthermore, Salem Cherkaoui and Sheikh Abdel Azim Salhab highlighted the cooperation and coordination between the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency and the Waqf Council in Al-Quds, stressing the importance of consolidating this relationship while looking forward to the future with confidence and hope in order to strengthen the Arab and Islamic presence in the city through the projects carried out by the Agency in various fields.

On this occasion, Salem Cherkaoui reiterated that the Agency adapts with the pace of transformations of the Palestinian society and responds as much as possible to its needs, in accordance with the high directives of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.

He said that Morocco makes the Palestinian issue a priority, reflected in the high guidance of His Majesty the King to the Agency to continue its concrete actions on the ground, while pointing out that the Kingdom remains the main donor of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency.
