Ministers and officials from 20 Arab countries, including Morocco represented by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, along with representatives of the League of Arab States and international and regional organizations, take part in this event organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

The agenda of this session includes the adoption of the recommendations of the Standing Committee for Arab Culture, as well as the definition of the date and venue of the 24th session of the Conference of Ministers in charge of Cultural Affairs in the Arab World.

The current session also aims at initiating a renewed reflection to increase the use of culture in development, by elaborating effective and cross-cutting policies that would add value to joint efforts to build a more creative and sustainable future in the countries of the region.

It is also about benefiting from the power of culture in raising awareness of the challenges imposed on humanity by the multifaceted crises associated with the disastrous consequences of global warming, biodiversity loss, urban expansion, as well as growth that does not take into account sustainable development.

This conference, organized every two years, is considered one of the important cultural events in the Arab world. It aims to strengthen joint action between Arab countries in various cultural fields.

The ministers attending this session should also review the results of the Conference of the Arabic language which is held in parallel to this event.
