Morocco, Saudi Arabia Discuss Strengthening Agricultural Cooperation

During this meeting, the two ministers reviewed the balance of cooperation in the agricultural field and the prospects for development of this cooperation.

 

The two parties also welcomed the quality and level of relations between the two countries in the agricultural field and expressed the desire to strengthen and expand this cooperation, especially in terms of trade of agricultural products and food, promoting investment in agriculture and strengthening technical cooperation especially around the phoeniculture and desalination.

 

Note that Moroccan agricultural exports to Saudi Arabia consist mainly of citrus fruits, sugar, canned olives, tomatoes, processed cheese, durum wheat semolina and vegetables. On the other hand, Moroccan imports of agricultural products consist mainly of dates, cookies and pasta.
