Rabat – Morocco-Dominican Republic relations have taken a new step forward as reciprocal visa exemption agreement entered into force, said an official from Dominican Republic Embassy in Morocco.
The Head of Trade Affairs and Media at the Embassy, Jorge Brito de los Santos, said, in a conference, that reciprocal visa exemption will boost trade flows, promote investment, and bring the two countries together as they share a large number of values.
In this context, he stressed that this meeting aims to highlight the various economic assets and investment opportunities offered by the Dominican Republic, especially in tourism.
“The Dominican Republic enjoys a moderate climate throughout the year, which makes it a tourist destination of choice for Moroccan investors allowing them to conduct and increase their activities more easily.”
This is especially true “after the entry into force in July 2021 of the exemption of tourist and business visas for nationals of Morocco and the Dominican Republic, he stressed.
Concluded in June 2019 by the governments of Morocco and the Dominican Republic, the agreement on reciprocal visa exemption came into force on July 14, 2021.
