Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo announces a ‘beautiful show’ in a few days at the opening of the 21st SNC

Ouagadougou: The Minister in charge of Culture and Arts, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, after attending the rehearsals of some artistic groups from the city of Bobo-Bioulasso, said he was reassured this Saturday that the opening show, in two weeks, of the 21st edition of National Culture Week, will be ‘beautiful’.

‘What I saw today reassures me and gives me satisfaction and hope that in a few weeks we will witness a beautiful spectacle during the opening ceremony of the SNC 2024,’ declared the Minister of State. , Minister in charge of Culture and Arts, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo after visiting the Dafra Youth Space where artistic groups are in full rehearsal, according to his communication services.

More than 360 artists are mobilized at the Dafra youth space to prepare the opening ceremony of the SNC 2024, planned at the General Sangoulé Lamizana Stadium.

At the installation of the national organizing committee of the SNC, its president, Betamou Fidèle Aymar Tamini, announced his intention to mobilize 1614 actors
to constitute the artist line-up, ie 229 artists more than in the previous edition.

‘We want the opening ceremony to be a success not only to pay tribute to our defense and security forces and our VDP but also to signal to the rest of the world that the Burkinabè people are united and remain indivisible,’ added the Minister Ouédraogo.

The 2024 edition of the SNC will take place from April 27 to May 4 under the theme: ‘Culture, historical memory and patriotic surge for a new Burkina
