Tunis: Two Tunisian feature films have been shortlisted for the main competition of the Mediterranean Film Festival, held in Malta from June 22 to 30, under the theme “Unity Through Film.”
The two films are: “Backstage,” co-directed by Tunisian Afef Ben Mahmoud and Moroccan Khalil Benkirane and “Who do I belong, directed by Meryam Joobeur.
Launched in 2023 by the Malta Film Commission, the festival aims to provide a platform for filmmakers, industry professionals and enthusiasts to meet, exchange ideas and create partnerships for future projects, as well as showcase new films by directors from around the world.
