There are North Korean heavy weapons that are currently in our army, President Ibrahim Traoré said Thursday during his interview broadcast Thursday on national television.
“There are North Korean heavy weapons that are currently in our army. We still want to acquire weapons there to fight but there are many other areas,” said Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
He recalled that the Burkinabè army uses military equipment that North Korea had given to it in the years 1985.
Note that Burkina resumed diplomatic relations with North Korea on March 29, 2023.
As a reminder, the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, gave an interview to Radiodiffusion Télévision du Burkina (RTB) and Canal 3, broadcast on Thursday, May 4, 2023.
He addressed several subjects, including the security situation, the general mobilization and the warning, the desire to destabilize the current power, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland, human rights, the fight against corruption and development projects.
