Federation of Journalists of Peru Commends Autonomy Plan, ‘Best Solution’ to Dispute over Moroccan Sahara

It is “unacceptable that a neighboring country can finance bandits who, in reality, deceive their true nature”, underlined Mr. Sanchez Serra in a statement to M24, MAP’s continuous news channel, following talks with MAP Director General, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi.

Mr. Serra, who was accompanied by Carlos Linares, director of the Peruvian daily newspaper “La Razón”, recalled “the oppression of an entire population in Tindouf”, where Sahrawi women have been sequestered for more than 45 years in dire conditions.

The FPP deputy-president said he regretted that the Peruvian left supports the so-called “sadr”, a “puppet and fictitious” entity, adding that this stance harms Peru’s relations not only with Morocco, but also with the Arab and African world.
