Exchange of Parliamentary Experiences at the Heart of Moroccan-Jordanian Talks

During these talks, Talbi El Alami welcomed the deep-rooted ties between the two countries, expressing his pride in the excellent level of relations between Rabat and Amman, which is reflected in the convergence of views on several issues of common interest, according to a statement of the Lower House.

Talbi El Alami also highlighted the depth of historical and cultural ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the strong fraternal ties between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and HM King Abdullah II, welcoming the level of bilateral parliamentary relations, which should be further promoted.

He also underlined the importance of strengthening communication and coordination between MPs of the two countries.

The Speaker of the lower house also recalled, in this regard, the achievements of the Kingdom of Morocco in issues related to the consolidation of democracy and human rights, the economic development and the social State, noting that the House of Representatives has managed to occupy a prominent place at the national level and within several regional, continental and international organizations and parliamentary assemblies.

In addition, he stressed that the House is willing to share its experience and expertise with its Jordanian counterpart, according to the statement.

For his part, Al-Fayez as well as the delegation accompanying him, emphasized the authenticity of Moroccan-Jordanian relations and the depth of historical ties between the leaders of the two countries, stressing that the position of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the Moroccan Sahara issue is constant and clear and that Amman fully supports the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over all its territory.

The Speaker of the Jordanian Senate also welcomed the bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties, while calling to consolidate them through the exchange of visits and parliamentary friendship groups.

He also expressed the willingness of his country to benefit from the Moroccan experience in the economic and agricultural areas, water scarcity management and renewable energy.
