Engineer Ollo Hervé Kansié appointed head of the Infrastructure Works Agency (AGETIB)

Ollo Franck Hervé Kansié, civil engineer and former secretary general of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Accessibility, is appointed director general of the Burkina Infrastructure Works Agency (AGETIB).

Appointed boss of AGETIP at the council of ministers on Wednesday, May 29, Mr. Kansié until then held the position of technical advisor to the minister of infrastructure and access.

He distinguished himself on the technical committee responsible for working on the efficiency of the road transport sector through actions to open up internal and external connections, modernize the road network and improve mobility conditions, where he was a member. .

He also headed the General Directorate of Road Infrastructure. In addition, he briefly held, between December 10, 2021 and January 24, 2022, the position of Minister of Infrastructure and Opening Up in the government of Lassina Zerbo.

AGETIB is a state company created in 2010 to ensure delegated project management of infrastructure projects and contribute to s
trengthening the capacities and professionalism of design offices and construction companies.

On May 16, 2024, the government adopted new statutes for this agency allowing its director general to be appointed by the council of ministers and expanding the scope of this service to railways, airports, modern toll booths and logistics platforms.
