Diplomacy: the Head of State discusses with the representative of the BRICS Alliance

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE received this Tuesday at the end of the morning in audience the Representative of the International Alliance of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in Africa West and Central, Ahoua DON MELLO.

For the host of the Head of State, this meeting follows a working session held yesterday Monday at the Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs with several technical departments.

Accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad, Olivia ROUAMBA, the representative of the BRICS Alliance came to report to Captain Ibrahim TRAORE on the content of the exchanges and “the model that we are going to use to be able to select a certain number of projects, discuss with our partners originating from the BRICS countries for their implementation”.

After this first stage of project identification, the President of the BRICS International Alliance will be in Burkina Faso in the coming days for the second stage, which is the establishment of the Alliance in Burkina Faso with a view to creating a bridge between our country and the member countries of the BRICS. According to Ahoua DON MELLO, the BRICS International Alliance is the link between the BRICS countries and the non-member countries.

He indicated that after the report to the Head of State, the President of the Transition gave his agreement for the continuation of the process.
