Ouagadougou: This Tuesday’s publications echo patriotic support, students who immerse themselves in Chinese culture and the arrival of Captain Ibrahim Traoré in Bobo Dioulasso as part of the SNC.

‘SNC Bobo 2024: The President of the Transition has arrived in Bobo-Dioulasso’, reads the state daily Sidwaya on his headline.

The newspaper reports that the President of the Transition, Ibrahim Traoré will chair a series of activities including the opening ceremony of the 21st edition of the SNC, the launching ceremonies of the development and asphalting works of roads in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso and rehabilitation and asphalting works on national road No. 08.

The public daily adds that the Head of State will also lay the first stone of the Textile industrial complex of the Forces of Burkina Faso (TEXFORCES-BF) and inaugurate an agro-food unit for the production of edible oil.

The private newspaper Le Pays, for its part, reports that in Houndé as in Bobo-Dioulasso, captain Ibrahim Traoré was treated to a crowd
bath.

The colleague adds that many citizens came out and wanted to show their support for the Transition.

In another register, the dean of private dailies, the Paalga Observer displays on its front page: ‘Confederation of charismatic churches of the new generation: 1,500,000 for the Patriotic Support Funds’.

The newspaper indicates that according to the general treasurer of the confederation Pastor Pierre Ouédraogo, this amount was collected during a prayer session held on April 11 at CENASA.

Inspired by the words of the secretary general of the ministry in charge of the economy, the dean of private daily newspapers adds that these various donations are the manifestation of active solidarity and the union necessary to transcend the challenges facing the country.

From another angle, the public daily Sidwaya also wrote on his front page: ‘Sino-Burkinabe cooperation: Students immerse themselves in Chinese culture’.

The colleague reports that this initiative from Aube Nouvelle University was intended, accor
ding to the director of the Confucius Institute, Zhang Wei, to encourage students to be more interested in Chinese culture.

Sidwaya adds that the opportunity was given to the students to not only try their hand at calligraphy, martial art and Chinese tea but also to dress in traditional Chinese outfits for a day.
