‘We allowed the infrastructure to be wide enough for an ambulance to enter inside in order to allow confidentiality for the patients who enter inside,’ clarified Gildas Bourgou.

He added that army psychologists wanted to install a bungalow-style garden at the infrastructure level so that patients would not feel like they were in a prison.

‘Down to the foundation, we do not need financial support, we can do it even from tomorrow,’ noted the president of the national youth network for innovation in the civil engineering sector.

The president of the National Youth Council (CNJ), Moumouni Dialla, indicated that the national youth network for innovation in the civil engineering sector initiated this project for psychological care of war wounded to respond to the appeal of the highest authorities.

‘We want to call for the mobilization of youth in all its components and above all ask people of good will for their support so that we can s
et up this infrastructure,’ urged Mr. Dialla.

According to him, there is a system at the CNJ which will allow people who come from other localities to make their contribution to be accommodated there.

The president of the CNJ continued that based on their mobilization system, cooking will be done on the site by young men and young ladies.

‘I think when someone can’t lift shovels or push wheelbarrows, they can prepare. Everyone will have their role to play. We are going to make consistent food like ‘benga’ and ‘souma’ there when you eat, you just drink and you will have enough strength to push the wheelbarrows,’ he declared.

For the Minister in charge of Youth, Dr Boubakar Savadogo, this initiative is the representation of the emanation of the commitment of young people called to become aware of their important role in the reconquest of the country and the construction of the social base of the nation .

For the psychiatrist, Commander Aïcha Traoré, this psychotrauma center will allow destigmatization so t
hat people can understand that psychotrauma is not necessarily a mental illness and allow people to come more easily for their treatment.

‘The contribution of the General Staff in this project will consist firstly of making available the space on which the complex will be built and secondly of ensuring that the complex is operational by equipping it with everything technical medical equipment, and interior design,’ informed Commander Traore.

Construction work on this center, worth 337 million CFA francs, will be launched next May for a period of 6 months.
