Burkina: “We will never negotiate with armed terrorist groups”, (PM)

The head of the Burkinabè government, Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem de Tambaèla, said during his speech on the national situation on Tuesday that Burkina Faso will never negotiate with armed terrorist groups.

“We will never negotiate, neither the territorial integrity of Burkina Faso, nor its sovereignty. We will defend our territory and our populations at all costs,” said Prime Minister Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem.

The Prime Minister who was Tuesday at the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT), on the occasion of his speech on the national situation.

“For us, there is no negotiation possible with immorality. The only negotiation worthwhile with armed bandits is the one that is currently being done on the battlefield,” he continued.

According to Mr. Kyelem those who speak of negotiation with the terrorist hordes undoubtedly have common interests with them.

Since 2015, Burkina Faso has been facing multiple terrorist attacks which have caused the death of hundreds of people and caused the displacement of more than millions of people and the closure of many schools and health establishments.
