In a joint statement issued after his talks Tuesday in Marrakech with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the Bahraini minister stressed the centrality of the Palestinian cause for the Arab Ummah.
He also underlined that this issue is a priority in the foreign policy of the two countries, based on the High Directions of HM King Mohammed VI and His brother HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the firm commitment of the two sovereigns to the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish its independent State on the basis of the borders of June 4, 1967 with East Al Quds as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution, subject to international consensus and as provided in international resolutions relating thereto, the same source added.
In addition, the two ministers reviewed the political and security situation in the Arab region, stressing the importance of joint Arab action in strengthening the capacities of Arab countries, preserving security and stability and achieving sustainable development, according to the joint statement.
They also expressed their satisfaction with the convergence of views on various issues, as well as the challenges facing the Middle East region, the same source added.
