This event, initiated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), aims to review the progress made in the development of a regulatory infrastructure for radiation safety and security of radioactive materials, said a statement by AMSSNuR.

The meeting was also an opportunity to share lessons learned and update the work plan of the Regulatory Infrastructure Development Project for African Countries (RIDP-AFR II).

It was also an occasion to understand the cooperation mechanisms deployed by the IAEA with the countries participating in this workshop to effectively meet their needs in the framework of the regulatory infrastructure development project.

During this event, the AMSSNuR presented an overview of the national regulatory infrastructure for radiological safety and nuclear security as well as the needs of our country as part of the Regulatory Infrastructure Development Project.

The Regulatory Infrastructure Development Project was established by the IAEA to respond, upon request, to the needs of States to improve their national regulatory infrastructure related to radiation safety and security of radioactive materials.
