Coast Guard units in Sfax, on May 12 and 13, foiled three irregular migration attempts across the maritime border and rescued 99 «crossers,» including 91 from sub-Saharan Africa and the rest Tunisians, the spokesperson for the Directorate General of the National Guard said Saturday.
Coast Guards in Teboulba, Monastir governorate also thwarted an irregular migration operation across the sea border and rescued 8 “illegal crossers.”
The national guard spokesperson added in a statement that the Public Prosecutor’s office ordered taking the necessary action regarding these persons.
