Yatenga: 15,580 candidates competing for the BEPC, BEP, CAP and CEP exams


Ouagadougou: the tests for the Primary Study Certificate (CEP) and entry into 6th grade , the First Cycle Study Certificate (BEPC) and the Professional Studies Certificate (BEP) and the Certificate of Professional Aptitude (CAP) were simultaneously launched this Tuesday, June 4, 2024 by the authorities of the Northern region, it was noted.

The starting point for the various written tests of the said exams was given this morning in Ouahigouya by the governor of the Northern region, Issouf Ouédraogo for the BEPC and for the CEP by the Secretary General of the region Albert Kuilga Zongo.

For this 2024 session of the CEP in Yatenga, a total of 10,216 candidates including 5,748 girls from 20 basic districts (CEB) are in the running to obtain the first school diploma. For the occasion, coordinators, center presidents, jury presidents, supervisors, chaperones, secretaries, correctors were distributed among 62 examination centers under the direction of 20 juries.

For the BEPC exams there are 4824 candidates and 54
0 for the BEP and CAP. Enrollment numbers are up compared to the 2023 session, suggested the Regional Director of Secondary Education Hippolyte Ouédraogo. This increase in numbers is explained by the reopening of the jury in the department of Oula and the secondary centers of Sissamba and Ziga in the province of Yatenga.
