Building the capacity of the vocational training system, improving governance of the private sector and guaranteeing quality training in line with international standards in order to meet the needs of businesses and counter unemployment, notably among young people, took centre stage at a working session held on Thursday under chairmanship of Premier Najla Bouden.

Attended by Chief of Staff Abdelkader Jammali and several of the Prime Ministry’s directors-general, the meeting further provided an opportunity to review the progress made in economic empowerment programmes and private or collective initiative, and to examine the several funding lines set up by the government to this end, reads a Prime Ministry press release.

The Prime Ministry’s national and international job market prospecting programmes and the identification of the needs of businesses and economic sectors, were also discussed.
