According to a Downing Street statement, Johnson outlined the UK’s efforts to alleviate the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the region, including a £40 million aid package announced on Sunday.
The Conservative leader thanked President Duda for his close cooperation in ensuring that vital defensive and humanitarian aid reaches Ukraine. The two leaders both agreed on the need “to continue working with international partners on sanctions measures,” the same source added.
The Prime Minister said he was looking forward to visiting Poland on Tuesday and would remain in close contact with President Duda in the coming days, the statement concluded.
