Two Elephants Reported on RN17, Caution Advised


Ouagadougou: Two elephants were spotted on the afternoon of Sunday, September 28, in Sablogo, near the large bridge located on national road No. 17, between Lalaye and Moaga, AIB learned from local sources.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the presence of these pachyderms in the area corresponds to their usual route. However, the forestry services recommend that local residents and road users exercise caution and vigilance, avoiding any contact with these wild animals, which are likely to become aggressive.



The relevant services also invite residents to report any damage to fields or property caused by elephants, so that appropriate measures can be taken.
