Works of the Tunisian-Saudi Investment and Partnership Forum got underway Wednesday in Tunis, with the participation of over 100 Saudi businessmen and government officials from both countries. The event is designed to scale up partnership between businesses.
This forum is being held concurrently with the 11th session of the Tunisian-Saudi Joint Commission which will see the signing of seven memorandums of understanding in industry, tourism, environment, agricultural scientific research, meteorology, climate, water and employment, Tunisian and Saudi officials said.
This forum is an opportunity for business leaders and economic players from both countries to increase investment and trade and set up joint projects, especially in promising sectors, said Finance Minister Sihem Boughdiri Nemssia.
Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef said Tuesday Saudi Arabia wants to be an active economic partner by means of identifying potential investment opportunities in the private
sector, in a bid to boost trade.
