Tunisia, IFT explore avenues for stronger partnership in education

A stronger Tunisian-French partnership in education took centre stage at a working session which brought together Thursday Education Minister Mohamed Ali Boughdiri and representatives of the Institut Français de Tunisie (IFT).

Emphasis was also placed on the need to provide support to Tunisian students in France, encourage the teaching of Arabic to Tunisian migrant children in France and build bridges of communication with Tunisia, reads a ministry press release.

Ways to boost pupil and student exchange programmes were also looked at.

The minister laid emphasis on the need to increase coordination

so as to achieve the Tunisian school in Paris project.

The ministry undertakes to scale up partnership through agreements in education and periodic joint follow-up meetings to speed up the implementation of educational projects intended to improve services for teachers and pupils.

IFT representatives expressed full readiness to further develop relations in education and culture for youth.
