Towards extending retirement age in private sector to 62


The Social Affairs Ministry is considering submitting a bill to voluntarily raise the retirement age in the private sector by a further two years, from 60 to 62, Social Affairs Minister Malek Ezzahi said on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference held at the seat of the International Centre for the Promotion of People with disabilities in Gammarth, the minister further told TAP that this decision remains optional and depends on the agreement of both the employer and the employee.
