The FBF suspends the Northern League election until further notice

The appeals committee of the Burkinabè Football Federation (FBF) has instructed the Northern Regional Football League (LRFN) to suspend the electoral process which was to lead to the establishment on Wednesday, of a new Northern League office.

By note addressed to all presidents of affiliated clubs, the LRFN informed of the suspension of the holding of the elective general assembly which was to set up this Wednesday, July 24, 2024, a new office of the governing body of regional football .

This halt to the electoral process follows an appeal by former Etalon Saïdou Mady Panandétiguiri, candidate for the presidency of the LRFN.

Indeed, Saïdou Mady Panandétiguiri candidate for the presidency of the Northern Football League, contacted by telephone, confirmed the filing of his appeal to the FBF, indicating that his action is linked to the process of receiving application files. This process was not done properly.

Panandétiguiri also protests about the quality of the person who received the files. He would be a
member of the office of the Northern Football League and is also a member of the electoral commission.

While waiting for the outcome of this affair, football lovers in the city of Naaba Kango are taking great interest in this league election so that the king sport emerges from its current lethargy.
