The CSC wants to become a model for wearing traditional outfits

Ouagadougou: The president of the Superior Council of Communication (CSC) Idrissa Ouédraogo and his colleagues were in full consultation this Monday morning, to make the generalization of the wearing of traditional outfits an everyday reality in within the institution.

Gathered in an extraordinary general assembly, Mr. Ouédraogo, the advisors and administrative staff decided to set up a committee which will be responsible for concretely determining ‘the conduct to be taken, the actions to be undertaken and the attitudes to be adopted in order to make the Council superior of communication, a model in terms of wearing our traditional outfits,’ reports the communications department of the CSC.

President Ouédraogo recalled that the regular wearing of traditional outfits helps promote Burkinabè cultural identity and boost the national economy for the socio-economic development of the country.

A presidential decree of June 2023, promoting the wearing of faso dan fani, koko dunda and other traditional fabrics, ob
liges public service agents to favor clothes cut from these fabrics during certain ceremonies.
