The number of job offers as part of Tunisia Quebec Days which started in November 2020 has reached 1,894, said Director of the Guest Worker Department at the Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (French: ATCT) Imed Abdennour
The event is held with the participation of several businesses operating in Quebec.
Job openings were filled to a large extent as testified to that participating companies. The exact number of recruits cannot be established now because of the time taken by migration procedures.
Seven editions of Tunisia Quebec Days were held in partnership with the ATCT and the Canadian Department of Immigration, including six online and one in-person (April 2023).
The 2020 edition, which saw the participation of 17 Quebec-based companies, provided 139 jobs.
Forty-four Canadian companies participated in the 2021 edition; 37 job offers in the textile sector and 438 others in several other fields were reported.
There were 72 job offers in the sector of textile in 2022 with the participation of 73 enterprises. The e number of positions made available by 15 Quebec-based companies in April stood at 286.
The number of Tunisian guest workers in Canada rose over the last three years to 1,180.
