K©n©dougou: The president of the special delegation of the commune of Orodara, Emmanuel Konat©, chaired the first extraordinary session of the special delegation, where the allocation of the tax on petroleum products was on the agenda.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session, held on April 29, 2025, focused on examining and adopting a resolution regarding the use of the tax on petroleum products for the year 2023 in the first amending budget for 2025. Emmanuel Konat© noted that the tax, amounting to over 29 million CFA francs, was initially adopted in 2024 but had not been transferred, resulting in the revenue being carried over to the 2025 budget.
Konat© clarified that these revenues were transferred to the municipality’s account following the first ordinary session that was devoted to preparing the 2025 amending budget no. 1. He further explained that 80% of these revenues would be allocated to the construction of commercial infrastructure.
