Tanghin-Dassouri: Thirty-three young people from the commune of Tanghin-Dassouri received their provisional driving licenses on Thursday, as part of the driving license operation, an initiative of the special municipal delegation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the official presentation of provisional driving licenses was chaired by the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Tanghin-Dassouri, Rabiata Sawadogo. The goal is to provide the town’s youth with a concrete tool to access the job market, particularly in the transport, logistics, and service sectors.
At the end of the first session, 33 candidates were declared successful, while six others are continuing their training after being rejected, with only one dropping out. The special delegation also intends to organize a second phase of the subsidized driving license program for the youth of Tanghin-Dassouri.
Seizing the opportunity, the beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction with this initiative of the municipality which, according to them, constitutes an important lever against unemployment. “It’s a real sigh of relief for us,” said Issouf Kabor©, one of the beneficiaries, visibly moved.
A total of 40 young people were selected to benefit from the program, which aims to facilitate professional integration by providing subsidized driving licenses.
