Support for the Fighting Forces and IDPs: young people give their voice

Ouagadougou: The Parliamentary Union of Young Afros organized on Saturday July 13, 2024 in Ouagadougou, a support caravan to support the IDPs and salute the courage shown by the Fighting Forces in the territorial reconquest.

In these times of insecurity, any support is welcome to galvanize those who fight day and night for Burkina Faso to regain its former glory.

Having left the Martyrs roundabout on motorbikes and vehicles, the caravanners reached Place de la Nation on foot from the General Directorate of Land and Maritime Transport.

This caravan, organized on Saturday July 13, 2024 by the Parliamentary Union of Young Afros (UPJA), aims to support and recognize the courage shown by the Defense and Security Forces, but also the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland and internally displaced persons from the States of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).

The president of the UPJA, Maïmounata Sankara, expressed their deep gratitude and admiration towards those who, every day, risk their lives to defend t
he country and protect the populations. ‘Their courage, dedication and sense of sacrifice are an inspiration to us all,’ she said.

Ms. Sankara paid special tribute to these heroic citizens who chose to stand up to defend our values ??and our freedoms.

To the innocent victims of insecurity who were forced to flee their homes, she reiterated their support and their commitment to work tirelessly to provide them with the necessary assistance and create the appropriate conditions for their return in dignity and security.

According to the president of the Parliamentary Union of Young Afros, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso face the same challenges, and it is more necessary than ever for these people to remain united and united.

‘The peace and stability of our countries depend on our ability to overcome challenges together and to support those who fight for our security and our freedom,’ admitted Ms. Sankara.

She launched a solemn appeal to young people and women to support the authorities, the FDS and the VDP in t
he reconquest of the national territory and the Sahel states under the leadership of the three heads of state.

Placed under the theme: ‘Voices of youth for peace and security’, this youth meeting was an opportunity for youth representatives from Mali and Niger to call on young people in unison and with a sense of duty. to meet the challenges.

‘This theme is of undeniable relevance for the future of our regions. The AES embodies not only strategic collaboration but also the promise of solidarity in the face of complex challenges,’ suggested Daoulatta Alhero Assayueye, representative of Niger.

As for the project manager of the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Employment, Wiloho Coulibaly, representing his minister, he praised the foresight of young people who have realized that their future is in their hands.

‘For a long time, youth have always been put to sleep by demagoguery, but today, we are in a situation where youth have understood the challenges of the transition and a free and sovereign Burkina,’ said

He invited young people to continue this momentum and to listen to the heads of state and not to give in to any blackmail, because it is together that they will lead the fight for sovereignty.
