SputnikPro WORLD “New Generation” programme kicks off in Moscow with participation of TAP


Moscow: The SputnikPro WORLD “New Generation” programme for journalists, initiated by the Russian federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo, started Monday at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow.

A journalist from TAP news agency is taking part in the programme, along with others from several news agency representatives and media specialists from Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and Maghreb, and Africa.

The programme provides an opportunity to discuss with leading experts the development of the media, the rules of news writing and fact-checking, the role of modern Internet technologies in journalism, the phenomenon of fake news, working on social media, and the creation of audio and video content.

The opening was chaired by the Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova, and attended by a number of senior Ministry officials and experts.

Rossotrudnichestvo’s flagship international
project for young people, “New Generation”, welcomes around 1,000 people from different countries to Russia each year, from various fields, including journalism.

The 2024 edition of the SputnikPro WORLD “New Generation” programme for journalists will feature a series of lectures from Tuesday, June 25 to Friday, June 29.

The lectures will cover the technologies of a modern multimedia news agency’s operation, article writing skills in a news agency, the peculiarities of media and brand monitoring and the impact of artificial intelligence on video production.

Lectures will also cover podcasts as a modern form of radio broadcasting, the peculiarities of news agency news feeds, the work of an international news agency in social media, the use of infographics in the work of a journalist, journalism of the future and how and why the RIA Novosti news agency makes VR/AR projects.
