The Secretary General of the Banwa province, Abdoul Kader Kongzabré, chaired a plea on the chemo-prevention campaign for seasonal malaria (CPS) this Friday, July 26 in the evening, at the health district by Solenzo.
The campaign, which began on Friday July 26 morning, will end on July 29 and will concern children aged 3 to 59 months across the entire provincial territory.
The Chief Physician of the Solenzo health district, Yelkouni Kouka, led the plea before the leaders of the different social strata of the province.
‘From January 2024 to now, we have recorded 30,116 cases of malaria, including 10,332 children under 5 years old with 7 deaths including 6 children. We must therefore help us spread the information so that this campaign is a success,’ declared Yelkouni Kouka, MCD of Solenzo.
For this vaccination campaign, the door-to-door strategy and the fixed strategy are recommended in order to reach all target children.

For 4 days, antimalarial tablets will be given to healthy children aged 3 to 59 months.
The Secretary General of the province, Abdoul Kader Kongzabré, called on everyone to raise awareness among those around them, especially in public places and places of worship, so that no child escapes this campaign.
